My Son

Oh my head is swirling with emotion
Anger,hurt and confusion
What makes him tick ? Whats in that mind ?
Try looking deep within to see what I find
Destruction, lies,temper and deceit
Love, needs, affection these all meet
One great intelligent,caring, mass
Yet smouldering resentment he does have
He doesnt understand what its all about
Explaining he normally screams and shouts
If my mind is a mess such as this
No wonder my son can't deal with his
He's 11 years old with depth and character
And tries so hard to do things better
Each step he takes and enormous leap
Dealing with daily life an ardeous feat
He's my son and my love is strong
One day he'll do me proud and know he belongs.
