a plague of fat swellings erupt
from rapier tines
straining to pierce the sky
Feet chained by earth
they reach for her
clothed now in blue
she's turned her coat again
wearing the sun as her amulet
until their weapons are sheathed
in green satin
an amazon recaptures her mate
dreaming, dazed with desire
and bursting with seed
he fills her with spring
