ADD/ADHD Resource Reviews
adders.org Book Review
Scattered by Gabor Mate MD
Dr Mate draws on his own experiences of living and working with ADHD to write this very moving and positive book.
Aimed at both parents and adults he deals with issues which can trigger ADD, how to create the best environment to help with promoting health and healing.
Dr Mate talks positively and openly about his own life from his early memories to bringing up and loving and supporting his own children. He explains both the environmental factors and the medical factors and the medical factors, which influence the overall symptoms and effects, and how this together can help with diagnosis and treatment.
How to cope in the home and at school along with working to help teach new emotional and social skills and building, restoring and enhancing the self esteem of both children and adults effected by ADHD.
A wonderful book full of compassion which in some parts brought me to tears.
