ADHD: How to Deal with Very Difficult Children by Alan Train
The author draws from his many years of working with special children to write this so that we can understand some of the techniques and strategies we need to help these children.
Alan Train explains the background and diagnosis of ADHD and talks about solutions, which can be employed, based on accepting the fact that ADHD is part of the make up of the individual child.
Looking at how we as adults can help the child to learn to deal with their own reactions and emotions, we can then help them to achieve their own techniques and strategies for self-control and ability to cope. Therefore by mid 1800s other countries that needed people to work and obey orders started to use this method.
