hands held out, fingers almost touching
bridged only by a little air...
What did she say? 'Take'
This one I know, but the other one, 'Care'?

Someone must be after me again.
Tell her not to worry, that I am the avatar of strong
for I have hunted through these borderlands
my whole life long


and it's but mist that wets my lips
and this not rage but song.

I heard a silence in the night,
O, such a quiet your heart would not believe,
as time itself came smiling in and bid my spirit ease
and stole my fists and gave me hands
with fingers such as these

outstretched to bridge the air
