Famallama - A Minecraft Server for the Neurodivergent

Lisa Taft wrote to us as follows:My name is Lisa Taft, and I am reaching out to share information about - Famallama Minecraft Server, a unique and welcoming community specifically crafted for individuals with Autism, ADHD, and other neurodivergent conditions.

As a parent of three now-adult children with Autism and ADHD, I understand the importance of finding a safe and supportive environment for like-minded individuals to connect and enjoy their passions. This led me to establish Famallama Minecraft Server five years ago, and I am thrilled to see how it has flourished into a calm and happy place for our members.

Our server is designed to be a judgment-free zone, free from bullying, where everyone can embrace their unique selves without fear. Whether you're a seasoned player or new to Minecraft, Famallama offers a space where everyone is accepted and celebrated.

Here are some key features of Famallama Minecraft Server:

- **Tailor-Made for You:** Our server is carefully tailored to meet the needs of our neurodivergent community, ensuring a positive and enjoyable gaming experience.

- **Real-world Connections:** We believe in fostering real-world connections too! We organize events, like our annual summer meetup, where players can come together in a safe environment to solidify the friendships they've built online, accompanied by their parents.

- **Free to Play:** Famallama is open to all and is free to play. All you need is a valid Minecraft account, and you can join us from virtually any device.

- **Dedicated Staff:** Our staff team comprises parents, young neurodivergent adults, and computer scientists working behind the scenes to keep the server running smoothly. We also offer one-on-one sessions for both players and parents, conducted by DBS-checked staff members. All our staff including myself dedicate our time and money voluntarily, I always say, it's the best unpaid job I've ever had.
