Children and Young People in Conflict with the Law (Research Highlights in Social Work)
Stewart Asquith
Children & Young People in Conflict with the Law
This book examines current policies, developments, research and practices in the Juvenile Justice System in the UK.
Based on research of offending statistics from 1995, this book looks at issues of offending, persistent crime and various forms of criminal behaviour.
Tackling the issues and conflicts, which can arise between welfare and justice, this acknowledges the rights of offenders as well as the victims.
We know that the system is being constantly reviewed and changed but this book provides a basis to work form to help children and young people who find themselves in "Conflict with the Law" and can be used to build on for progress within the system for the future.
